Insurance 4-Point Inspections are typically required for older homes and mobile/manufactured homes. These inspections cover 4 points (see below) like it sounds. The purpose of these inspections is debated however it is a general overview of these components to ensure that they are in proper working order and contain no defects or safety hazards. The insurance companies are also typically looking to see if anything has been updated over the years, as a newer electrical system vs a 50 year old electrical system inherently should have fewer concerns. We utilize the commonly accepted Citizens 4-Point Inspection form (Citizens Website-4-Point Inspection Form) as this one is the most commonly accepted across insurers here in Southwest Florida. 

 

The 4-Points that are inspected are:

HVAC (Air Conditioning/Heat) 

Electrical

Pluming

Roof
